Teatro Farnese is a 16 century theater in the Baroque-style built by Giovanni Battista. It was destroyed in WW2, but has since been restored. It is a magnificent place to visit. It is not for everyone, but anyone holding a passing interest in art, or history should definitely visit.

Teatro Farnese

Teatro Farnese is a Baroque-style theatre in Parma, Italy. It was built in 1618 by Giovanni Battista Aleotti. The theatre was almost destroyed by an Allied air raid during World War II . It was rebuilt and reopened in 1962.

Some claim this as the first permanent proscenium theatre .
