Established and opened to the public in 1980 and located in the County Galway, Ireland, Connemara National Park comprises of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs and heaths, picturesque grasslands and woodlands. A plenty of walking trails offer walkers a tranquil stroll through the park. The park also hosts Connemara ponies, red deer and a great variety of bird-life.

Connemara National Park is one of six national parks in the Republic of Ireland that are managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. It is located in the west of Ireland within County Galway.
