"For the Lovers of Yeats!" |

Drumcliffe is set against the stunning backdrop of the Benbulben Mountains and is renowned as the final resting place of great Irish poet, W.B. Yeats. A pleasant resting place in this idyllic churchyard, the tomb is identified with a simple headstone engraved with his self-written epitaph "cast a cold eye on life, on death, horseman, pass by." The cemetery also holds a high cross and nearby is the site of a 6th Century Columbian monastery. The gift shop and cafe are outstanding with something there for all admirers of Yeats.
