"Lovely Place "

We were based in the hotel Colonna for the week and each evening explored the town. Frascati is in the Alban hills, a short ride from Rome but totally unspoilt by tourism. All the restaurants serve local food and wine and are frequented by locals.

Frascati ">[fɾaˈskaːti]) is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Rome in the Lazio region of central Italy. It is located 20 kilometres south-east of Rome, on the Alban Hills close to the ancient city of Tusculum. Frascati is closely associated with science, being the location of several international scientific laboratories.

Frascati produces the white wine with the same name. It is also a historical and artistic centre.
