Fantastic place to visit: A beautiful series of locks, fully functional and spectacular when the small boats pass up and down. Best visited during the summer season. Many sitting areas, excellent restaurants and bars beside the locks. During high season can be fairly busy but well worth a visit.
Great Place : Excellent service, lovely people and great sites. The cottage ratings could probably use the full range of scoresa but more would be my only concern. Perhaps sometimes I find that whilst their 5 star really is 5 star, their 4 star could may be be a 2.
A must-visit for history buffs: The Museum narrates the history of Clan Cameron. It tells the story of the engagement of the Clan with Jacobites and its role during the Uprising of 1745.
There are wonderful exhibits about the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.
There are also memorabilia, artefacts and photographs about the commandoes who trained here during the WW-II.
Worth A Visit : Nice place to visit. Need a bit of determination to get there as the roads are narrow. Some nice views along route though. Nice picnic area when you get there right next to the falls with a secluded but nice parking area.
Just Brilliant : Excellent museum crammed full of historical artifacts. Staff very friendly and helpful too. Wee bit slow service at till as staff has to write down every individual item you purchase. Nice clean, tidy and well laid out exhibition though. Recommended!
Time Well Spent : Staff is excellent. Gets very busy but is a must visit but won't take long. The prices are reasonable and the gift shop was very good. It is a good place to visit and would have got at most 4* but the disabled parking was a joke had to park right next to a coach and then reverse out around it avoiding a lot of tourists.
Beautiful Church : Glenfinnan Church is a duplicate entry of the place more properly known as St. Mary and St. Finnan Catholic Church. What a beautiful setting and location for this church designed by Edward Welby Pugin. It was great too to be able to go inside.
