What is considered to be a geographically small city goes big on its activities. San Francisco is known to be the second-most densely-packed city in the U.S., which allows you to access its top tourist sites easily.
Its picturesque views, calm climate, welcoming surroundings, outdoor recreations, and amazing food are just a few of the characteristics both tourists and locals enjoy.
If you wish to spend a weekend in San Francisco, be sure to take a look at the colorful street art covering several districts of the city, telling its history through unique illustrations.
Moreover, visiting on a weekend will definitely land you a chance to explore one of its many street fairs that locals love to attend for the groovy music, artistic displays, and gourmet food stalls – what’s not to like!
While you’re walking around the city, do pay a visit to the Fisherman’s Wharf – the residence at PIER 39 – one of the city’s most popular marketplace and attraction. The docks of PIER 39 are inhabited by Californian sea horses and visitors take pleasure in observing their antics, while also enjoying the outdoor stalls selling fresh crab and shrimp cocktails.
Tired of walking around all-day? Relax at the Golden Gate Park, and enjoy its beautiful lakes, picnic areas, and plethora of events held there. Conclude your trip with a shopping spree at Union Square.

A hidden gem in the city: This historic fort in San Diego surrounded by nature and equipped with the museum was one of our favorite hidden spot in California. Learn everything you need to know about the military interventions and battles from history. It was a beautiful setting on along the hillside. Definitely, recommend a visit. |

Our favorite museum in San Francisco: Beautiful museum! Probably our favorite one in San Francisco. Best departments are dedicated to India, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Laos, and Vietnam artifacts. We enjoyed a lot our time there. Divine Bodies special exhibition is also very interesting. Don’t forget to download the free app and to have informative guided tours. |

Amazing display of modern and contemporary art: It is a modern art museum with a great curation of international art exhibits. There were plenty of contemporary and modern paintings installed here. The museum is well maintained and a must visit for all art lovers. The staff was friendly and entry was about 25$ per person. Great ambiance, we spent an hour admiring some of the amazing work of art here on display. |

In the centre of San Francisco, closer to nature: One of the best places to see in San Francisco. We strongly suggest you take time out and explore the Golden Gate Park. If you love nature then this is the place to be especially the Japanese Tea Garden. There are things to do at the Golden gate park too, like the Palace of Fine Arts, the art museum, the science museum. |

Pricey for a small aquarium, but was fun experience for kids: Our little ones enjoyed the aquarium. There were excellent exhibits of marine species. It would only take about 30 minutes to see the whole place. We were lucky to be there during feeding time. The only con was that the tickets were too pricey. |

A paradise for art lovers! : An interesting art exhibits from Asian artifacts housed in a beautiful modern building. It was a wonderful visit to the art museum, a small one but the visit was well worth our time. There's an amazing library section with fun furniture decor too. Visit to explore an exhibit of painting, sculpture, and video. |
