A Medieval fortress with gorgeous views: A photogenic castle with views of the river. We enjoyed a self-guided tour out an about the castle which has some interesting exhibits and interactive displays. A visit to the castle educates you on the history of Ireland and Limerick. Commendable views and lots to explore made it one of our favourite spots in Ireland.

Visit this historic Franciscan friary ruins : Known for its gothic tower and wall carvings, this place is a must-see. This well-preserved site has sculptures carved in the hard limestone. Our visit here was like stepping into history with so many interesting things to explore and learn about. What we enjoyed the most beyond the site was probably the drive into the county which had many picturesque stops on the way.

This periodic house has massive rooms with a magnificent staircase and tranquil space in the garden.
