Historic And Wonderful : Better than we expected from the website. On a clear day, the views would be spectacular over Pompey and the Isle of Wight. The tunnels were good to explore and the numerous cannons on display through lots of rooms were interesting. Food in the cafe was reasonably priced and good quality.

Winchester Cathedral Full review
Travel picture of Winchester Cathedral
avatarpicture andrewlincoln THE BEST REVIEW
Splendorous architecture with history : This Cathedral is from the 15th century and has a great peaceful atmosphere. The wooden carvings, sculptures and the painting were all spectacular. During our city exploration, we have been to many churches, but this one was the best. The guide took us through the premises and was informative too. There's plenty of history hidden in every nook and corner of this cathedral. Highly recommended.

Fascinating Tour : Well worth doing any of the tours at Winchester College if you are interested in the schools history or history itself. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and passionate and the tour was fascinating because of this even before you looked at the buildings. The school is still a 'working school'.

Loved This Place : Love this place. Simple and serene, a lovely way to enjoy wildlife with children in a beautiful environment. Not the kind of animals you'd usually find at a zoo but that doesn't make them any less fascinating for children. Also has an excellent adventure playground
