La Fortezza di Volterra Full review
avatarpicture roxaneback THE BEST REVIEW
Absolutely Delight : Dominating the skyline of the city, this imposing medieval fortress consists of two castles. The older one was completed in the late 13th century and the second castle was built in the 14th century. It is not open to the public, but you can admire its magnificent exterior from the park beneath it.

Pinacoteca e Museo Civico Full review

Amazing Experience : Beautiful collection is a beautiful Palazzo. Not too big, very worthwhile. Only the cross-take of Rosso Fiorentino is worth the visit. Very interesting picture gallery in the medieval section, well cared for; then the explosion of a fabulous canvas of mannerism: the Deposition of Rosso Fiorentino, which alone would be worth the visit.

Great Place : Pisa is a cute town to walk in and it's highlight is definitely the leaning tower. This world famous building is next to another nice building so you can take lots of beautiful and also funny pictures with and around the tower. The tower itself is a simple yet unique monument that you should visit once in a lifetime.

Piazza dei Priori Full review

avatarpicture nopolarith THE BEST REVIEW
Exciting Place : This Piazza has always been at the center of town life and was originally known as the Bishop's Prato or civic area from which the bishop ruled the citizens. As the town gathered its own identity a commune of townspeople gradually took over the bishop's role and the first of the grand houses and palaces that line the square began to be erected.

Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art Full review
avatarpicture baileeglover THE BEST REVIEW
Not So Bad : This museum is composed of two floors at the back of the city's main church and has several sacred works with an aggravation of not having labels identifying authors, date and place of creation. Even so it is worth knowing the place. I recommend.

Enjoyed A Lot : This was a kind of weird museum. I enjoyed it, but at some point it stopped being interesting to see Etruscan funerary urns. That's primarily what's in this museum. Worth seeing as a part of the family pass or if you've got a large interest in Etruscan funerary urns, that's about it.

History and Religion: Parrocchia San Paolo a Ripa d'Arno is fine example of Tuscan Romanesque church architecture. The church wasn't as brilliantly restored as I was hoping but the outside was magnificent and the insides did hold a lot of history. All in all a peaceful visit, worth repeating.

Unusual place: This is a cementary - one of a kind and still in use. Very easy entrance without any queues. There are no crowds inside, it is the calmest of all monuments on Piazza del Duomo in Pisa. Inside you can sit on one of many benches and rest a little, hiding from the sun and heat outside.
