Elan Valley Full review

A spectacular destination surrounded by nature: A series of man-made lakes with dams is simply picturesque. We loved our day trip to the lakes. Surrounded by the spectacular nature, forests and reservoirs. The roads are quite narrow and are through the mountains, but the ride was quite scenic. If you stop by for food, they are quite expensive and so we suggest you carry some along.

Happy With The Visit : Visited the day before the autumn closure. Very quiet and dull and drizzly. All worked in our favour though. We were alone in the fantastic caves a lot of the time. Absolutely wonderful. The dinosaurs were much better than we imagined.

Time Well Spent : An amazing bookshop. My first visit to the town famous for books and this was the first shop I visited. The lady informed me that this was the last chance saloon for books. I'd be there every day if I lived nearer!

Brecon Cathedral Full review
Travel picture of Brecon Cathedral
avatarpicture emmabrow THE BEST REVIEW
Worth A Visit : Beautiful cathedral, larger than I had remembered! There is a small charge for parking next to the cathedral which we needed to do as we had a very small child with us who couldn't make the walk from the town up the hill. The church itself is quiet and dignified without too much 'interpretation'.
