From street food to wearables and jewellery, the bazaar presents endless shopping opportunities to visitors. There is a fish market where women can be seen selling fish to customers. The "dolls of Pondicherry" are quite popular in the handicraft industry of the area.

Very nice market: You can see great religious unity here, goods are of good quality. All you require is just a vigil eye to distinguish between good and bad material. The things are cheap, vendors are cooperative, prices are fixed so everyone can buy them.
