Los Beyos gorge Full review
avatarpicture lilamosci THE BEST REVIEW
Very pretty: A beautiful gorge along the river. It crosses the Picos de Europa. You pass through towns like Oseja de Sajambre. Greater expectation. Fun to do on a motorcycle if it were not for too much traffic. Beautiful road, without a doubt, highly recommended.

Beautiful Place : A wonderful industrial museum with a few pieces of larger equipment outside. The large hall has exhibits and restored equipment covering mining from the middle ages through the 20th century. A visit to the beautiful pilgrimage site: This Gothic-style church has a lot of religious as well as historic significance. There are no entry fees to this pilgrimage site. We loved visiting the peaceful chapel with the holy cross, which is the highlight of the site. It is one of the largest pieces of the Lignum Crucis, the cross of the Christ.

Walk to the lakes of Covadonga Full review
avatarpicture spiritaway THE BEST REVIEW
Brilliant Experience : Visited in August, during this month, visitors will be required to park in the allocated parking spaces in Cangas de Onis or closer to the Covadonga Sanctuary and take a coach from there. Once on the lakes, the views are absolutely stunning, we saw lots of cows, bulls, falcons, mountain goats and even a few vultures. Not worth visiting if it's too cloudy, I'd say.

A reconstructed royal cave with tons of information about the past: This Unesco World Heritage Site tells you all you need to know about the cave of Altamira. We were near Santillana, so this visit was nearby and we'd say totally worthwhile. The trip was a little too long for us and we were tired by the end of it. But, the museum was impressive and a great reconstruction of the authentic cave of Altamira.

Worth A Visit : A little hidden in the small town of Novales is this little "posada" or small hotel. I only go to the restaurant though and have never stayed there. It's a seemingly humble place but the quality of the food is excellent. The low temperature cooked rib is a must if available.
