Must See : We actually visited this restaurant back in May 2014 after visiting the nearby castle. The food and service were outstanding, to a point that it pretty much puts to shame any subsequent Italian dining. A great place indeed, highly recommended!

Wonderful Experience : Very nice Castle, very preserved. Most walls are still painted and some rooms contain explanations. Although we could not access the last floor and towers due to security reasons, views from other points of the castle were already stunning! Recommended.

There are sarcophagi (not to be missed is the one called by the ophthalmologist and the traditio legis), stems, coins, weapons, majolica, herms, liturgical hurdles, mosaics, ivories, icons. Beautiful Place : We very very lucky to see the cloisters just before closing. There was not a single soul there... such a peaceful and serene sight. Three cloisters, Cloister of St.John, Cloister of St.Benedict and Cloister of the Chapter, date back to the 16th century and are part of the Benedictine Monastery of St.Giovanni.

Truly amazing: I think the original church was built over 1,000 years ago and some of its remains are still there. They kept reconstructing, modifying, and adding wings and it reached today's appearance in the 17th century. Inside artworks are truly remarkable. Time Well Spent : Great museum. Very interesting. Definitely recommend the tablet to go around with too. The cafe was also reasonably priced - the cheesecake was delicious. The staff were friendly and also allowed us to store or luggage behind the desk. A massive help as we were travelling on from Bologna to Milan. Certainly worth the money.
